Is Scream 7 happening anytime soon?
The ‘Scream’ franchise has had a humongous fan following since the day the first movie came out. The psychological thriller has got fans gripped upon their story and the suspense gives chills to the spine. After the 6 movie’s success, fans are hoping for a 7th one to be announced soon.
Rumors are that the original cast of the movie Neve Campbell, who starred in the initial movies of the franchise, called off the substantial sequel after the sixth movie.
Is Neve Campbell returning in the Scream 7?
The Lincoln Lawyer actress has played in various Scream sequels was unexpectedly not part of the sixth movie. She told THR(The Hollywood Reporter) that she has been hearing the controversy spiraling around the movie. She said that things have gone a little haywire due to strikes and things are going to be messed up.
She publically revealed that the reason for her exit from Scream VI was payment disputes. She said that a few years ago, she emphatically asserted that she firmly believed the treatment she received would have been different if she were male. She contended that her dedicated contributions to carrying this franchise warranted a certain level of recognition.
Campbell also mentioned that she would rejoice to be part of the next movie if it is made but she sustained to get remunerated to what she asked. The Scream 7 is yet to be confirmed.
