Manhunt season 1 opens up on the day of 1865, April 14. Booth is preparing to enact the last act of his career. The night when Abraham Lincoln and Lady Lincoln are sitting in the balcony of a theatre watching a play; Booth hides behind the curtains and pulls the gun behind Lincoln.
He shoots him and then runs away. The entire country and police officers are hunting him down and will send him to trial for what he did. After 12 days of cat-and-mouse chase, he finally is found but refuses to surrender.
