The live-action ‘AVATAR: The Last Airbender’ may have not wooed the audience in the right way but honestly, the movie was able to get through the essence of elemental powers. The animation of the namesake is still considered the best version ever but live action still did pretty well. Unlike the drooping Marvel release, this is far better if we consider it.

The concept of saving the best for the last has truly made a great foundation for a better start because more is yet to come in the series.

AVATAR: The Last Airbender gets a far better rating than anticipated

With a give and take of about 430 minutes and 8 episodes, AVATAR: Live-Action gives an intricate idea of a utopian world where elements are worshiped and life forms are gifted with this power. Aang, a young lad goofing around with his friends in a sacred place of Southern Temple would have never imaged what responsibility he must have to endure on tender shoulders.

The folklore of the Avatar must have gotten the kid shocked but soon to find answers to his gigantic role, he passes from one pole to the other to know the essence of being ‘The Chosen One’. His guru, his sacred place, and his childhood all change at once with Fire Nation destroying his home.

The first time AVATAR’s powers are unleashed is when he is attacked by a violent storm and freezes himself in a giant ball of ice. The super-blue ray coming out of his head defreezes him and he meets the South Water tribe. He is harbored by the tribe, who tells him that it has been a hundred years since he has been hibernated in ice.

He befriends the Katara, who is the sole Waterbender of the South Tribe, and his brother Sokka to get to the Shrine of the last Avatar and there he learns the power of Avatar, who is a warrior and needs to protect his family. On his way to Fire lord Shrine, he learns that to defend what’s right, and finally on the North Water tribe, the water-lord Shirine, he learned to choose to stay alone because an Avatar could be chaos and control.

Towards the end of the series, AVATAR chooses his path to find hope. With friends and some foes, Aang is making his destiny and will become a legend.

Speaking about the view, honestly, the series was easily able to justify the Chinese ancient art forms and spiritual beliefs. The aspect of a young AVATAR was a great touch to see that heroes aren’t sometimes supposed to be mature enough to tackle obstacles, great solutions come through wisdom; which children have more than adults. All four shrines have had their share of struggles and hardships that shaped them into true AVATAR.

An AVATAR is a healer, warrior, guide, and a loner. With ‘AVATAR: The Last Airbender‘ many things are unfolded like- Help is just an arm’s distance away, it’s never too late to start again and lessons are better than a conclusion.
