The upcoming hocus-pocus and full-of-magic Beetlejuice are coming to haunt you before Halloween. The actor playing Beetlejuice, Michael Keaton is reprising his role from the classic cult Beetlejuice (1988).
The movie coming this year has had a lot of things, fans are curious to know but one thing that will satisfy fans’ curiosity, was recently given by the actor, himself.
Beetlejuice 2 will have more fun but less tech-fantasy
In a recent interview with People Magazine, the actor gave a little sneak peek about the movie and how the movie will bring the same elements from the prequel. Keaton said that he was hesitant with the idea of VFX and graphics that are popular in current times. Director Tim Burton also shared his similar feeling with the sequel.
Both the actor and director called it a cautious choice when the sequel was brought on board. The actor said-
We thought, ‘You got to get this right…or just don’t do it. Let’s just go on with our lives and do other things…Burton was probably equally as hesitant and cautious… just see if we can do it… if we can pull this off…
Michael Keaton also shared that with the next chapter in ‘Beetlejuice 2‘, they decided to put off the thought of having too much technical and graphics in the movie. He said that it should be handmade. He even said that the reason the first became a success was because it had simple elements and less tech. Everything was predictable unpredictable.
The actor shared his excitement saying that reprising the role after many years on the giant screen is beyond excitement. Talking the cast, Winona Ryder is reprising her role as Lydia, and ‘Wednesday’ star Jenna Ortega will be playing Lydia’s daughter.
Willem Dafoe, Monica Bellucci, and Justin Theroux are the new additions to the movie. The movie is slated to release on September 6, this year. Rumors are the movie might have a third installment since the sequel is titled ‘Beetlejuice Beetlejuice‘. So fans be prepared for another fun ride!!
